Common Questions about Vacation Rental Condos

FAQ

Why should I stay in a vacation rental instead of a hotel?

In a vacation rental, you and your family/group can stay together in a furnished condo rather spending money on multiple hotel rooms. You can stock the kitchen with all your favorite foods and have great family meals without paying for room service and gratuities.  We like to think of it as Youre Home Away from Home.

What are the accommodations and furnishings like?

Each Condo is furnished and decorated differently. You may browse the property information page to see photos to get a feel for the furnishing and decor.

What is supplied in the Condo?

HI Paradise Rentals provides freshly laundered and sanitized linens on made beds. Bath sets (which include bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths) are also provided.  Beach towels are not provided. All of our vacation rentals will have a fully furnished kitchen with pots, bowls, pans and dinner ware. Our vacation rentals also include a starter kit of dish soap, dish washing detergent, garbage bags, paper towels and toilet paper. The starter kit is meant to get you by until you make it to the store. We do not leave any perishables in the Condo (ie: salt & pepper). If you would like us to provide certain items before your arrival, please let us know.  Additional Charge will apply.

What do I do once I land?

Call us!  Let us know that you have arrived.  This allows us to be waiting for you and make sure there are no delays during check-in.

Is there a grocery store in Waikiki?

Yes, we have Safeway, Foodland and many convenience stores nearby.  We also have Walmart and Costco in Honolulu.

What if I want my Condo clean during my stay?

Each Condo is cleaned prior to check-in.  Mid-Stay cleaning is available during your visit for an additional charge.  Please contact us for details.

What time is check-out?

Check-out time is 11:00 am. Late check-outs are available with pre-approval from management, however late check-outs are very rare in summer and winter seasons. We need to make sure there is time to turn the Condo over for the next guest.  As always, call us to inquire.

What about activities?

We would be happy to assist you in booking activities.  We have relationships with charter fishing boats, dive operators, parasailing companies etc.  We can also assist you for the trip to Pearl Harbor, go to a luau, and visit the Polynesian Culture Center.

Is a rental car needed?

A rental car is handy but not needed.  There are many shuttle buses to and from shopping malls and activities. Taxi cabs are plenty in Waikiki and public transportation is available.  Please note parking rates: $15 per day, $75 for a Week and $150 for a month.

How do I make a reservation? Is it secure?

Booking a vacation rental with HI Paradise Rentals is easy and secure process. Reservations can be made 24 hours a day online at www.hiparadiserentals.com or by calling one of our representatives at (888) 539-2884 or (808) 388-8446

Is a telephone provided?

Unfortunately not.  We suggest you bring your cell phone and charger for all other calls.

Is internet provided?

Yes, all of our condos have WI-FI.

What is the payment policy?

Payments can be made in the form of an eCheck (from U.S. Banks Only), cashier's check, certified check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.  All balances are due within (30) days prior to the check-in date. Reservations made less than 30 days prior to the check-in date will require full payment via credit card. If paying by check and check is returned for NSF, there is a $30 service charge per occurrence.
